To Know of What's Become

She had everything then a swift crushing blow
Instability strikes down the most innocent
A punch in the gut of childhood
So she came here
With a mother
And bitterness
So young
So harmed
I planned it for a week
It took all I could take
Exploding was an option
But I took the moment
In the checkerboard envelop
I placed all my feelings
And handed it over
To love
And sacrifice
An older sister or wisdom
A child held back
Hopeless friends, dummies to her plan
She held me
But was in my arms
We were the portrait of dysfunctional
And I love her
Always, I wanted her more
And always she got me
Karma takes and gives
Gave me revenge
Gave me breath, and will take my friends
My problems
My life.

In the moment of sweet surrender
It’s her lips that I remember
The crime of life
Meets our strife
And as we fall so hopeless beings
I feel I’m always dreaming
To wake with her beside me
And to be back in the sands
The winds whipping hair
And the world at my command
Acceptance, wanted
Oblivion, satisfied
A black hole of a heart, plugged with a cork kiss.
